Shipping & Freight Guide

Most motorcycle parts go out as standard parcel. Heavier items — engines, frames, wheel sets, swingarms — move by freight, which works differently from a normal parcel delivery. This page explains what to expect either way.

How we ship

Standard parcel

Controls, electrical, lighting, mirrors, gauges, small engine and trim components. Wrapped, padded and boxed. Tracking is sent when the label is created.

Freight / LTL

Engines, frames, tanks, wheel sets and other oversized items. Crated or palletised for transit and booked with a regional freight carrier.

International

We ship worldwide on request. Contact us with your part and destination before ordering and we will quote a delivered price.

Your freight shipment, step by step

  1. You place your order. Orders placed at a weekend or on a holiday are processed the next business day.
  2. We contact you. For freight items we will email you to confirm the delivery address, whether it is residential or commercial, and a contact phone number. We cannot book the shipment until you reply.
  3. We crate and inspect. The part is checked, photographed and packaged for transit.
  4. Dispatch and tracking. Once the carrier collects, we send you the carrier name and tracking reference.
  5. Terminal arrival and delivery call. When your item reaches the freight terminal nearest you, the carrier calls to book a delivery window. The number may be unfamiliar — please answer or call straight back, as terminals hold shipments only for a limited time.
  6. Delivery. Freight delivers Monday to Friday during business hours. Inspect the item before you sign, and note any visible damage on the delivery paperwork — that note is what supports a damage claim later.

Before you order a large part

If you are ordering an engine, frame or anything else that moves by freight, email us first at jtlpowersports@gmail.com. We will confirm fitment against your year and model, walk you through the delivery requirements at your address, and give you a shipping cost before you commit.
